Phone Pictures

For the last 7 months I have been taking pictures of Baby G on my phone and I love going back through my pictures to see how much Baby G has changed.  I enjoy it so much that I thought you might too.  Because it was a phone camera the pictures aren't of the highest quality but they bring back a lot of wonderful memories for me.

Graduating from the Bumbo

I am sad to say that Baby G has officially graduated from his bumbo.  We have thoroughly enjoyed using it and will use it again with any other children God blesses us with, but it's time with Baby G is over.
One reason is because....Baby G's legs just don't fit in the bumbo anymore.  If he has some really slippery pants on then we can get him in and out of it without too much trouble, but otherwise it is almost impossible.  Another reason is he has started something new while he is on the bumbo.  Mr. G and I say he is riding his bronco because that is exactly what it looks like.  Baby G looks like he is sitting on the back of a bronco that is bucking him all around.  Watch this video and see for yourself.

Doesn't it look like bronco riding?  Anyway, Baby G will now be using the high chair which he seems to like just fine.
So long, bumbo.  You've served us proud.

Whoopsie

Um...Interesting story.
Yesterday I had my first fire in the house.  Now there was one time in college when the fire department showed up at my apartment because I over cooked my chicken and set the whole apartment building's fire alarm off.  But this was different.  There was no fire department, but there was an actual fire.  Let me just add that nobody was hurt.

Can you tell what was once in this pot?
If you guessed a pacifier you would be right.  You see, I thought it would be a good idea to boil Baby G's pacifier to get rid of bacteria and germs.  I've done it many times before only this time I put it in the boiling water and forgot about it.  I went in the back room to play with the boys and about 30-45 minutes later I started smelling something awful.  At first I thought our neighbor was burning something, but then I realized it was coming from my kitchen.  I ran in the kitchen just in time to see the whole pacifier burst into flames.  Whoopsie.  Praise God their was no damage and all that will need to be replaced is the pacifier and the pot.  Mr. G informed me that from now on I should set a timer.  I'm thinking that is a good idea.

Number 26

Happy Birthday to me!!!  I had an amazing 26th birthday and was very thankful that I was able to spend the day with family.
Baby G also enjoyed his mommy's birthday as he tried out a new toy at Nana and Gampa's house.
 Already a pro.

Then Baby G enjoyed chewing on his daddy's sweatshirt string while he wore his great-grandpa's stocking cap.
Here's Baby G trying to eat a piece of cake while my brother decided to poke his head in for the picture too.

Baby G doesn't look as happy without his cake.
He's still looking for where it went.

Now he's happy.

Happy New Year

Hope you had a wonderful New Year's Eve.  My family had a very relaxing evening as we stayed home doing our usual routine except Mr. G splurged and bought us some sparkling grape juice to drink.  The best part of the night was we were all asleep by 9:30.
This is how I spent my New Years Eve and I loved every minute of it.
