Playing With Daddy's Face

Baby G absolutely loves playing with peoples faces and when you add a scruffy beard to the face it makes it even more fun for him to play with.

 So his daddy is a perfect candidate.

Mr. G was being overly dramatic by acting like he is asleep....but it made for some funny pictures.

 I hope Baby G doesn't have nightmares after seeing this face.

 Baby G's hands may look small and innocent but when he grabs a hold of you real tight it hurts.

 Baby G just thinks it's funny.

 Just hanging with dad....or on dad I guess I should say.

 "Can I come play with your face?"

Christmas Pajamas

Last night started out with a bang.... Literally.  We had just gotten to my parents house when Baby G had a major blow out.  It was so big that .... Mmmm.... how should I say this.... let's just say.... it ended up in his HAIR.  After a huge tag team clean up by Mr. G and I we put Baby G into the only other outfit we had with us..... His Christmas pajamas.

 But I think Baby G looks quite comfy with his big cousin holding him in his Christmas pajamas.

 And I"m sure many policemen wear Christmas pajamas when they are riding their motorcycle.... but maybe not with a pacifier in their mouth.

 There... that's better.  And Baby G plays the part well because he looks like he's eaten one or two doughnuts in his lifetime.

 I know what your thinking..... where is Mr. G's Christmas pajamas?

 My nephew loved that Nana and Gampa put out their Polar Express Christmas train to go around the Christmas tree....only he loved it a lil too much so Gampa is having to fix it.

 My nephew loves to give Baby G lots of kisses and....

 Hugs.  They are so cute together.  One thing my nephew loves to do while he is at Nana and Gampa's house is ride around on this little scooter car and I guess he made it look like so much fun that my brother wanted to take it for a spin.....but it didn't go very well for him.  Watch the video to see for yourself.  Notice how when we mention that this video will be on youtube my brother gets distracted and that's when he runs into trouble.

 It's always hard to get a picture with all the grandkids but we usually give it a shot.... Baby G looks like his smile is just about to turn upside down.

But once he got back in his daddy's arms he was smiling like crazy.....Christmas pajamas and all.

Nap Time Buddies

For all of Baby G's life he has taken most of his naps with Marley....but now there is a 3rd member of the nap team.

I have just started babysitting my nephew during the day while my brother and sister-in-law work.  It has been a wonderful arrangement because the two boys are becoming good friends.  They play together, talk to each other, and even take naps together.  Now I must admit that occasionally there is a 4th person sleeping on the left hand side of the picture next to Baby G......Hey, even mom's need a nap sometimes too.

Happy 6 Month Birthday

Happy 6 month birthday to our sweet Baby G.

 I can't imagine a day without seeing your smile.

 Your daddy and I are so proud of you...

 And love you very much.

 We are so blessed to have you and thank God for you everyday.

 You are growing up so fast.

 It seems like yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital.

Thank you, Baby G, for making the last 6 months the best 6 months of my life.  You are a complete joy to be around and just in case you didn't hear me before....I love you very much.

Dinner Time

Dinner time is nothing like it used to be.  Before when I would feed Baby G his cereal I felt like I was force feeding him.  Now when I feed Baby G he will take his hands and try and shove the spoon into his mouth.  I am glad that he is so excited about eating but....

 It does make a bit of a mess.

The messier the better in Baby G's mind.  You can't get the full effect without seeing the video though.

Another weird thing I noticed was that Baby G loves the camera and loves to get his hands on it.  I caught a video of him trying to reach for the camera while he was sitting in his bumbo after dinner.... but unfortunately, every time he would reach for the camera it would cause him to tip over.  It was cracking me up so I had to add this video to the post too.  Enjoy!

Laundry Helper

Every day is a new adventure trying to find ways to get my housework done while keeping up with my precious Baby G.  What I would like to do is just play all day with Baby G, read him books, rock him to sleep, and so on and so forth.....but that is not realistic.  There are times when I need to let Baby G entertain himself for his benefit and for mine.  Otherwise the house is a wreck when Mr. G gets home from work and Baby G won't know how to function without someone constantly around playing with him. 

 Who would've thunk that a laundry basket could be just the thing to help me out.  I realized that you just need a little padding on the bottom, a few toys, and a chubby baby to help hold everything down and VIOLA, you have a great play area to keep the lil one occupied while you do the laundry.

 Okay, so this isn't like one of those amazing ideas that you find on other blogs, but it is useful and Baby G seems to enjoy it.

There's nothing like finding a good book and parking yourself in a laundry basket for a relaxing read.

Mmmmm.... It appears that Baby G is trying to talk Marley into joining him in the basket.

Surely Marley won't give in to the peer pressure.

OH BROTHER!!!!!

Well, I got my laundry done and Baby G had a blast in his new play area.  Now its time to put Baby G down for his morning nap.  Tootles!!!

Eating Our Christmas Tree

This morning I put Baby G under his toy gym to play and roll around.  I went to go put some laundry in the washing machine and I come back and see him....

 Trying to eat the Christmas tree.

 Busted!!!!

 But with a face like this he could probably get away with just about anything.....even eating our Christmas tree.  But it's not just Christmas trees that Baby G likes to eat.  He will put ANYTHING in his mouth.  Even today when I was trying to take a video of him all he wanted to do was eat the camera.
