Day at the Farm

There is not much better than being a little boy and going out on a farm to play especially if it is at your great-grandma and grandpa's house.
First we played inside for a little bit then we went outside on Papa's.....
 Big red tractor.
Baby G did pretty good for about a minute...
but then he was ready to hop off and give his cousin a turn.
And boy did my nephew love it.

 I think Papa did too.
Just two boys having a hay day.
And Baby G was perfectly content down on the ground getting his feet muddy by the tractor tires.

Then we gave it one last try for a group picture before we headed to the....

Slide!!!!  I think the dirt on the slide actually made the boys slide down faster which they thought was hilarious.
Baby G was just sitting enjoying the fresh air watching his cousin slide down the slide before he tried it himself.
 Weeeeeee
And he even stuck the landing.
I think this was my nephews 40th time going down the slide.  He loved it.
I am not sure what this contraption is called on the swing set but my nephew loved it too, Baby G.... not so much.
 Oh boy!!!
Meanwhile, Baby G decided to try and climb UP the slide.  He made it farther then I thought he would.
Look at those cute little muddy feet.  Absolutely precious.
A little bit later Papa pulled out his old red wagon for the boys to ride on.  Here my nephew is helping Papa clean it off.
 Baby G tried it first...
Then my nephew hopped on too.
They weren't going real fast by Baby G had a death grip on the front of the wagon.
Then my nephew went by himself a little faster.
We finished the day by having a nice fresh from the garden lunch that my grandma prepared.  There is not much better than a day at the farm.

Family Night

Yesterday evening was an amazing night mainly because Mr. G got off work at 5 and we were able to have a family night at home.  This usually only happens on the weekends so we were really excited.  I had made a crock pot lasagna and then we had bread sticks, cottage cheese, and green beans to go with it.  After dinner we all went for a walk....including Marley.  However, it was a very slow walk because every few steps Baby G kept trying to stand up in his stroller..  Finally we made it back home and then we decided to all go in the backyard to pick up gumballs.  Well, actually Mr. G picked up gumballs and I just took cute pictures of Baby G.
From the get go I gave Baby G a stick and he never put it down.
He loved poking the ground with it and....
 Eating it.
We thought it was a good time to put the pacifier in.
Uh Oh. He's got that ornery look.``
Baby G even tried crawling with the stick.  He made sure his knees didn't touch while he crawled and no matter what, he never let go of that stick.
He loved passing the stick back and forth from each hand.

On the way back into the house to give Baby G a bath to get all the chiggers off of him I noticed a weird figure sitting on top of our outdoor thermometer.  Any guesses on what it is?

Strange place for a toad to rest, don't ya think?  My question is how did he get up there.

Baby G's New Laugh

I am not really sure how to describe this video.  Baby G has started this new habit of making a noise that sounds like he's hyperventilating while he laughs.  Not sure where it came from but it sure is funny.

Playing Catch With Daddy

It seems like every day Baby G is doing something new.  For example, he has learned how to play catch.  Mr. G and I noticed it for the first time yesterday but this morning before church (when we should've been getting ready because we were running late) I caught a quick video of Baby G playing catch with his daddy.  I have a feeling these two boys will be playing catch together a lot in the future and this is just the beginning.

Ha Ha, Marley

Poor Marley.  He's locked outside.  Which isn't a terrible thing considering it is a sunny 70 degrees outside.  The terrible thing is that a huge baby is standing at the door mocking him.  Poor poor Marley.  Every time Marley barks this huge baby will just laugh back at him, as if to say, "Ha ha.... you can't get in."

Like Father Like Son

Enough said....

Sweet Dreams Baby Boy

I mentioned in an earlier post how the G family has started enjoying America's Funniest Home Videos in the evening.  Well, the other night we were all snuggled up watching it when we started to notice with about 10 minutes to go in the episode that Baby G's eyelids were getting droopy.  Eventually he completely shut down and fell asleep.  The best part is, it made for one of the cutest pictures.
Nothing better then to end the day being snuggled up with daddy.
Sweet dreams, baby boy!!!

Funniest Home Videos

Recently Mr. G and I have started watching "Funniest Home Videos" before we go to bed and surprisingly Baby G enjoys watching it too.  So this morning when I put Baby G on his rocking horse and got out the camera I shouldn't have been surprised at the result.
But don't worry...
Baby G is okay.  And you know what they say, "If you fall off your horse you should get back on and try again."  Well, Baby G is a little smarter then that.  He decided to check the horse over and give it a good talking to before he tried it again.
