Tomatoes, VBS, & the Dentist

This big boy is turning 5 months old in just four days.  Ahhhhh.....time please slow down.  I love this age of him talking and smiling and giggling but not yet crawling all over the place.
Bubby G got to go to a couple nights of VBS at his cousin's church.  Here he is with his age group posing for a group photo.  It was funny watching the adults trying to keep the kids standing still long enough for a picture.
Sissy got in on this fun.....building blocks.
 I absolutely love this picture.
Sissy hanging out with daddy while we wait for Bubby to get done.
Back inside Little G was getting a new look.
Our garden is finally starting to produce some cucumbers and tomatoes.  You can kind of see a little hand reaching down to grab a cherry tomato.
That look makes me think the tomato was pretty tasty.  I wouldn't know because Bubby has eaten every one of them before even walking out of the garden.
But he is very excited about having his own garden.  He tells me all the time that him and Gampa worked very hard on this garden.
Our bunny, Honeylemon, is still doing good.  Enjoying some watermelon in this hot weather.
Last but not least....Bubby had another trip to the dentist.  The last time he went back in November he was terrified and would not cooperate at all.  This time it was the complete opposite. He did amazing.  He would talk to the dentist and answer their questions and do everything that they asked of him.  He even let them take x-rays of his teeth.  I'm glad to say that everything looked good and there were no cavities.
He was cheesing really big waiting for the dentist to get there.
They gave him sunglasses to use so that the light wasn't as bright in his eyes.
She was talking to him all about the Ninja Turtles and Spiderman.  It was perfect.
Look at this big boy letting her clean his teeth and poke around and everything.  I was so proud of him.
While we waited for his x-rays to develop he got to play a video game.
Thumbs up from my big boy.
And thumb sucking from my lil boy.

Last Minute Trip To The Zoo

How about an update on Little G.  This picture was taken several weeks ago.... already sitting up like a big boy.
And he is sleeping well in his crib now.
Although I still get to enjoy lots of cuddles.
He has really been enjoying his jumper...especially outside where he can feel the grass between his toes.
He also got to enjoy his first trip to the St. Louis Zoo.  It was a hot day and I forgot hats for the kids so we bought some zoo hats to use.
Sissy got a purple and pink hat.  You can tell by her face that she was already burning up.
Bubby G and Little G both got matching blue hats.  This boy was very excited about his surprise trip to the zoo.
We always stop to see the seals first off.
Getting in line in the underground tunnel to get a better look.
I'm not sure Sissy every realized what we were looking at but Bubby was sure enjoying it.
Beautiful smile from my beautiful lil girl.
 Picture of all three kiddos.
For as hot as it was and for sitting in a car seat for so long and then a stroller....this lil boy was sure a happy camper despite it all.
Bubby getting a closer look at the orangutans.
This monkey was really enjoying the people.
 Out for the count.
Taking a break for some dip-n-dots.
They liked the dip-n-dots as much as the animals.
 Trying to get away.
 Off to see more animals.
Getting a close up of a llama.
We went to the childrens zoo where the kids could pretend to be farmers.
Bubby making sure to take good care of his sister.  I was so proud of him.
Nothing like sweeping up dirt off of dirt.
Checking out all the different buildings together.
I think this was the pretend chicken coop.
 Getting more work done.
A little while later a random bull walked by.
This was when we found ourselves in the butterfly garden.  I've never been to this part of the zoo before.  It was beautiful.
Bubby has been trying to catch butterflies in our backyard so this was very exciting for him.
One even landed on our stroller.
This is the part that Bubby always looks forward to the most.  The hippos.  Although all you can really see in this picture is the fish swimming with the hippos.
And the last animal we saw at the zoo was the elephants.  I might add that they make it really hard to get to the elephants at the St. Louis Zoo but it was well worth the trip.  After our 10 mile walk back to our car we were all ready for some cold water and a nap.  But it was a wonderful day full of great memories and time spent together.  Always thankful for days like this.
