Gingerbread House 2015

Time to get to work on this years Gingerbread house.  The kids have been begging for several days to make a gingerbread house....so after buying the kit....we were ready to go.
Once the kit was open, Sissy automatically went for the goodies.
I put the icing on the roof and gave each kid a side to decorate.
 Working very hard.
And enjoying a few licks now and then.
Icing was ending up everywhere....even on Sissy's boots.  Please note that Sissy picked out her own outfit for the day.
Happy boy building his gingerbread house.
He worked very hard getting it just right.
Sissy, on the other hand, became more interested in scooping off the icing and eating it....so her side of the roof had very little candy, but lots of swirl marks.
She seems pretty happy about it.
Bubby got to decorate the front of the house once he was done with his side of the roof.
Sissy was still "working" on her roof.
 I love his concentration.
 The finished product.
Not the prettiest gingerbread house ever.....partly because I struggled even getting the thing to stay together....but we had lots of fun making it.  It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas.
