Punkin Patch 2012

I can't believe it has already been a year since....
 Baby G looked like this.
When we took Baby G to the punkin patch last year he was just starting to sit up and had just had his first haircut.
It is amazing how time flies and how much Baby G has changed.  A year ago he was having to lean up against the punkins and this year....
He was trying to pick up the punkins.
This year we also found a new punkin patch.  It is called Country Kids Pumpkin Patch and Baby G had a blast.  They have so many fun activities for kids to do....and even though most of the activities were for older kids Baby G still found plenty to do.
Baby G started in the sand box....only you'll notice that there is not sand in this sand box.....but corn kernels instead.
 And with all the shovels....
 Buckets....
And kids, Baby G was one very happy little boy.
Then Baby G went over to the fake cow they have for kids to milk.

Baby G wasn't too sure at first...
But daddy showed him how its done....
And then Baby G gave it a shot.
They made a pretty good team.

Then we were introduced to one of their many bunnies.  They couldn't remember the name of this particular bunny but they did know that it was one of Floppsie's babies.
Baby G acted shy for a little bit around the bunny...
But then he started warming up....

Especially when some of the little girls started petting the bunny too.
Baby G then went back to playing in the corn with the little girls so we decided to head to the punkin patch to pick out our punkins.

But after a few minutes Baby G started walking our way...
And he had two pretty girls following close behind.

Baby G would bend down and look for a good punkin to pick.
This is a punkin that Mr. G had picked out....Baby G's just inspecting it to make sure it is of the best quality.
The punkin ended up being too heavy for Baby G to pick up but it was cute watching him try.
Then he started running all around the punkin patch.
So we decided to try to find our way through the corn maze.
Baby G took off trying to keep up with the girls in front of him.
I decided to race ahead of him to get better pictures.
 Talk about the 'wind-blown' look.
 He was having a blast.
I was hiding around the corner in the maze and I caught this one as Baby G was about to round the corner looking for me.
Baby G liked how the wind blew his hair.
 Off running again.
Then we stopped when we saw a graveyard in the middle of the corn maze.  Baby G looks like he's seen a ghost.
By this time the little girls that were leading the way had gotten lost and we were now heading back to where we started...
But Baby G didn't mind one bit.
Then we went to the duck race they had set up.  They had water pumps set up and a bunch of plastic ducks that if you pumped the water pump you would send the ducks floating down the pipe.
Baby G was very interested in the ducks.
He started jumping up in down in excitement.
I tried to help him pump...

You can see in the corner a blue duck starting to float down the pipe.
Then Mr. G took a shot at showing him how its done.
Baby G couldn't take his eyes off the ducks....that is....until he saw...

The chickens.
The first thing Baby G did was stick his fingers in the cage and his fingers quickly got pecked by one of the chickens.
But luckily Baby G thought it was funny.

The girls then showed him how to pick grass and...
Feed the chickens without getting his fingers pecked off.
We had a wonderful time playing at the Country Kids Pumpkin Patch and went home with two nice mums and a bunch of punkins.  Now we are looking forward to spending an evening painting our punkins.  I just love spending moments like this with my family....and making memories that will last a lifetime.
